Privacy
policy.
This policy explains what information StockHale handles, why we use it, and the choices available to you when you use our retail operations service.
1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy applies when you visit StockHale’s website, create or use an account, join a workspace, contact us, or otherwise use our service. StockHale is designed for businesses. A workspace owner or employer may control your account and the business information in a workspace; if so, direct requests about that workspace to its owner first.
For questions about this policy or personal information, contact us at hello@stockhale.app.
Trial, subscription, and regional pricing data
We store the date and time a workspace trial starts, its trial or paid access status, and the plan selected or activated so we can provide access and administer subscriptions. We may use a country code provided by our hosting network to display regional pricing. We do not use that country code as precise location data. Subscription and trial information is retained with workspace records for service administration, security, billing records, and legal obligations.
2. Information we collect
Account and contact details. We handle information such as your name, email address, password credentials, account identifiers, and messages you send to us. Passwords are handled using authentication safeguards; we do not need to see your plain-text password.
Workspace and business records. We process the information you or your team choose to store, such as workspace settings, products, stock movements, sales and purchase records, expenses, accounts, customer and supplier details, team membership, and reports.
Files and attachments. If you upload supporting files, such as purchase or expense documents, we process the file and related details needed to store and associate it with the relevant record.
Service and device information. Our systems may receive technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as IP address, browser and device details, request logs, timestamps, and security events. Your browser may also store essential session or local application data so that sign-in and workspace features work. StockHale does not currently use third-party advertising cookies.
Support communications. If you contact us, we receive the content of your message and the contact details you provide so we can respond.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and authenticate accounts, provide workspaces and requested features, store and sync business records, enable team access, process file uploads and exports, respond to support requests, send account or security messages, troubleshoot errors, protect the service against fraud or abuse, and meet legal obligations.
We may use limited service information to understand reliability and improve the product. We do not sell personal information or business records, and we do not use your business records for third-party targeted advertising.
4. Legal grounds where required
Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we process information as needed to perform our agreement with you, pursue legitimate interests such as securing and improving the service and providing support, comply with legal obligations, or with your consent where consent is required. The workspace owner may separately determine why and how workspace business records are used.
5. How we share information
We share information with service providers that help operate StockHale, such as database and hosting providers, file storage providers, and email delivery providers. They may process information on our behalf and are expected to protect it and use it only to provide their services.
We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect the rights and safety of users or others, investigate misuse, or support a business transfer or reorganization. We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Workspace owners and people they authorize can access information within that workspace. Please check with your workspace owner about their access and sharing practices.
6. Storage and international transfers
StockHale uses third-party infrastructure to host and store account and workspace information. Depending on provider configuration and where you use the service, information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps intended to support lawful transfers and appropriate protections.
7. Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain workspace records, protect security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Workspace owners control many business records and should export records they need to retain. When an account or workspace is closed, we delete or de-identify information within a reasonable period, subject to legal retention duties, security needs, and backup rotation cycles.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including account authentication and access controls. No online service or storage method is completely secure. You can help protect your workspace by using a unique password, keeping credentials private, reviewing team access, and keeping secure copies of important records.
9. Your choices and rights
You can keep account information accurate and, where available, manage workspace details, team access, and business records through StockHale. You may ask us for help accessing, correcting, deleting, or obtaining information associated with your account by emailing hello@stockhale.app. We may need to verify your identity or refer a workspace request to its owner.
Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, or to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local privacy regulator. These rights are subject to applicable exceptions and legal requirements.
10. Children
StockHale is a business service and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in a way that is prohibited by applicable law. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to us.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our service or practices change. We will revise the date below and take reasonable steps to notify users about material changes. The updated policy applies from its stated effective date.
